Many boozy recipes are all like "be careful, these could hit you." More often than not, you can't even taste alcohol and ten chocolate balls later you are nothing other than stuffed. This recipe is different. The sauce is strong, you will taste the bourbon, and too much of it will leave you stuffed, buzzing, and wondering why everyone has been in their house for the past year. This sauce is full of bourbon, chocolate and the perfect hint of cinnamon. Top ice cream, cookies or eat it by the spoonful! Want to be the favorite neighbor? Package it up and give it as a gift. It may even make the perfect addition to a chocolate cocktail! Hmmm, sounds like we have another recipe to develop.
1/2 cup half & half
2 tbsp light brown sugar
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2-3 TBS JACK Simple Cinnamon Cocktail Syrup (based on your preference feel free to add more or less)
1/8 - 1/4 cup bourbon (start with less and add more to taste)
Heat half & half with light brown sugar in small saucepan until sugar is dissolved & cream starts to bubble just slightly
Remove from heat.
Place chocolate chips & Simple Cinnamon Cocktail Syrup in glass bowl
Pour hot mixture over chocolate chips & stir until smooth
Add bourbon - stir to combine
Store in an airtight jar in refrigerator
